Me on Gallerystock
Thank you to Kate Barrett from Gallerystock for writing about the upcoming show at Stricola Contemporary, New York. on their blog
I joined Gallerystock a few months ago. When I first saw their line up of photographers I was totally impressed. They have the cream of the cream of the worlds best photographers.
After they contacted me and wanted to have me on board, I thought, No, it can't be true. But I signed the contract and am happy about it.

Website update
I just updated my website, one new project is also on it now. It's called Family Trees and it is a collaboration with Bruce Long. Bruce is not only my partner, he is a wonderful artist, writer and psychologist.

I fell in love with Terri's work after seeing her books Hunter Green and Snake Eyes. Unfortunately both books are sold out and only available on the secondary market for a huge amount of money.

WILD THINGS! Photography for Animal Lovers
I've got invited to the show Wild Things! Photography for Animal Lovers at Stricola Contemporary, 3 Wooster Street, New York.
The opening of the show will be on May 2nd and the show runs through June 5th.
Greg Garry curated an amazing show with an incredible lineup of artists. To be in such an exhibition is a dream come true for me.
I will be in New York from April 28th through May 3rd.
The artists in the show are:

A big shout out to the people from Brieke in Frankfurt.
I am invited to the show WILD THINGS! Photography for Animal Lovers at Stricola Contemporary, 3 Wooster Street, New York.
For this show I have to get my images printed and get them shipped to New York. So far everything fine and nothing special. But the timeframe is very tight. The show will be opened on May 2nd. The People from Brieke are very professional and make the best prints in Frankfurt. They work with the photographer very close and fulfill any special need.
I couldn't tell how happy I was and still am to get my prints from them.
So, if you have a show in Germany and need prints in best quality, consider Brieke for the job.

Yaniv Waissa
Yaniv Waissa is a photographer from Israel. He has many very interesting projects on his website.

This is what Yaniv writes about this project:
It is unexpectedly now, in an era where life in general and photography specifically, is being digitized, when I choose to go back in time. Back to older techniques, to the good old photographic material. I chose to use a variety of plastic toy cameras, light weight and mobile and a variety of films and polaroids.
I deal with a collective- cultural memory, which I embrace for my own personal needs. I go on a physical journey with my camera; a visual journey of the eyes, imagination and recollection, An emotional journey back in time, to the districts of the memory, districts that contain no comfort. I deal with the present through the past. I capture views, places and objects filled with echoes from the past. A past that is also a present and that lives and revives the memories, the collective traumas and my personal emotions.
I deal with the holocaust, through the camera; I seek to understand, to immortalize something hidden in the sights. I try to ignore the world of images widely connected to the holocaust. I intend to create a new system of associations that will activate personal charges: mine and the viewers'.

Day Four
Day Four is a publication, currently made out of Munich. Germany by Fiona Hayes, editor and art director of D4.
Every issue has a special theme. The current one is: The New Constellations

What is dayfour?
Dayfour is a magazine of personal work, mainly by photographers. Like any magazine, it has a variety of contributors, runs collections of (visual) articles, and is printed and published periodically. Some people call it a book, because, well, it looks like a book. In fact it is produced more like an album: issues are put out once a year, each one built around a theme. Dayfour magazine is printed digitally in a very small, numbered, limited edition (we don't have much money). It is produced annually so we can put lots of thought into each issue (and carry on with the day job). The worldwide publishing industry does a great deal of damage to the environment, and so dayfour makes a virtue of being small and an effort to be beautiful.
Why 'dayfour'?
In an ideal world, we could work for a living three days a week. On the fourth day we'd work on whatever we are drawn to, intrigued or fascinated by. Personal stuff. The work we do for love. Dayfour is all about working for love. (And having a three-day weekend.)
What's the background?
Dayfour was launched in London in 2002. The idea for a magazine of photographers' personal work came out of many years' experience in editorial art direction. Often the pictures photographers took for themselves were more exciting than those they were commissioned to do. We started to put together collections of photographs, based around themes, and to show these collections to people who might commission the photographers. So far there have been six issues, the latest produced out of Munich, Germany.
