Two Way Lens and Simon Roberts

I am very happy and excited to add another wonderful and outstanding photographer to my project.

Simon Roberts is one of my favorite photographers, I am a big fan of his work since I saw his photographs from his series Motherland. We English is also one of my favorite photo books.

In 2010 Simon has been commissioned by the House of Commons to be the official Election Artist for the 2010 General Election in Great Britain. During the 17 days of official campaigning he traversed the country in a motorhome photographing local landscapes and scenes that are connected to the General Election. His main focus was the relationship between politicians and the voting public.

In addition to Simons work, he wanted the public to be part of this project and tell stories by sending their photographs of political activity in their area.

Read more about the project, see Simons work and the public work here.

Please visit also Simon's website for more info and work to be seen.

Simon's interview for Two Way Lens is to be found here.
