Jessica Backhaus

One of my favorite books at the moment is Jessica Backhaus' ONE DAY IN NOVEMBER

I bought my copy last year at the book fair in Frankfurt and am still in love with it. The book is Jessica's hommage to Gisèle Freund her mentor and friend.

It is just beautiful.

You can buy One Day In November here or here or here

Winter in Germany

The winter has Germany in its grip. It's freezing cold as it hasn't been in decades. The lakes are frozen and the rivers are blocked for shipping. Last weekend we waked over a huge frozen lake. It was totally fun and we enjoyed it a lot.

Here are some impressions of the winter wonderland.
