Oliver Weber just added a new series to his website. The series is called La Matanza and this is what Oliver writes about it:
The ritual of slaughtering a pig (Matanza) was once of great importance for the rural populations of Spain. This annual event would ensure the larder was stocked with meat for the coming year, and that the calories needed to carry out all that hard manual farm work were at hand ............. read more here

E. Brady Robinson
Elizabeth Brady Robinson is a Florida based photographer, curator and professor at the University of Central Florida.
I would like to present her project Scenes from Jesusland here on The Truth of Beauty. It is a wonderful body of work and already received lots of attention. Currently, 5 pieces of this work is in Paradox Now, a group exhibit curated by Jeffry Cudlin at the Arlington Art Center in VA.
Brady will also have work in the upcoming emerging artist auction at Daniel Cooney Fine Art in NY. I will post the link as soon as it is online.
About Scenes from Jesusland:
In 2006, Orlando-based artist E. Brady Robinson purchased a Jerusalem Gold Pass for $100, granting her free year-round admission to The Holy Land Experience, a Christian theme park located across from the Mall of Millennia in Orlando, Florida. Robinson documented the interactions of the park’s visitors with the spectacle of a replica of ancient Jerusalem and daily live reenactments of the crucifixion of Jesus.
Here is a short review from the Wasington Post:
Florida's E. Brady Robinson's photographs of Holy Land Experience, a Christian theme park in Orlando that features stagings of Jesus's crucifixion near touristy attractions that include a rock-climbing wall, work because they don't require you to have been there to get the irony. It's all in the picture.
More work and reviews are to find on her website
